THE SCENE: San Antonio’s historic Argyle Club provided the perfect setting for a debutante party directly out of a storybook. Celebrating their German Club debutante year together were Liza Boldrick, Kate Fitzsimons, Shell Koontz and Robyn Straus, each young lady resplendent in white as she welcomed friends and family alike to her very own holiday wonderland.

THE VIBE: Festive blooms abounded with red roses, red orchids and gilded lemon leaves stunningly setting off the holiday-greenery bedecked club. The decorative coup d’grace, however, was found in the evening’s gloriously unexpected centerpiece, an inverted Christmas tree saturated in gleaming ornaments. This vibrant delight, along with all other floral designs, was masterfully created by San Antonio’s treasured talent, Danny Cuellar of Trinity Flowers. Entertainment for the evening was provided by Simply Irresistible, a 13-piece show-stopping band from Atlanta.

THE CAUSE: The San Antonio German Club formed in 1880 has presented its debutantes during San Antonio’s social season each year since its inception. The 2014-15 German Club President is Paul Arthur Rohlfs, Jr.
