THE SCENE: The Rosenberg Sky Room at The University of the Incarnate Word once again set the stage for The American Cancer Society’s Ranch Chic Fashion Show. Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’ouvres as they enjoyed fashions by Cavender’s with jewelry provided by Kendra Scott. This year’s presenting sponsors were Wrangler Jeans, Methodist Healthcare Cancer Network, Baptist Breast Center, Gentiva Hospital and Ariat Boots.
THE VIBE: The chic cowgirl theme was the order of the day for local celebrities and executives, as well professional models and cancer survivors alike, who brought life to the runway with true western flair. As Methodist Healthcare President/CEO Jaime Wesolowsky, a cancer survivor herself, said, “Many of the models [return] year after year. We have formed a bond. We are family. That’s what The American Cancer Society is all about.”
THE CAUSE: Founded in 2005 by a group of volunteers, the Ranch Chic Fashion Show was created to benefit the annual Cattle Baron’s Gala and to raise awareness for The American Cancer Society.
