Briscoe Western Art Museum Presents 17th Annual Sale And Exhibition

THE SCENE: Each year, The Briscoe Western Art Museum draws art enthusiasts, collectors and visitors to the Briscoe Campus for an opportunity to view and purchase over 260 works from 73 of the country’s top western artists. This year was no different. Local artists featured at the event included Cliff Cavin, Gladys Roldan-de-Moras, Caroline Korbell Carrington and William Carrington.
THE VIBE: The fabulous opening weekend included a VIP Preview and Artist Awards on Friday with the main Art Sale and Reception being held the following night. Guests enjoyed food, libations and music while bidding on artwork and mingling with participating artists. The evening’s artistry was complimented by the culinary talent at Rosemary’s Catering. After a Hill Country spinach salad, guests enjoyed fire-grilled filets with Chili Dulce and Cipollini relish for dinner, with garlic-toasted broccolini and caramelized shallot au gratin potatoes. The desserts included Tres Leches Brûlée and caramelized vanilla bean cheesecake.The Saturday evening event concluded with live entertainment and dancing under the stars. A public exhibition followed.
THE CAUSE: The Night of Artists marks the largest fundraiser for the Briscoe Western Art Museum with all proceeds benefitting the museum. The Briscoe Western Art Museum is a collections-based institution building upon art and artifacts that tell the vast and multifaceted story of the American West.
