Howard and Cindy Rachovsky’s domain in Dallas was the setting for the always glam 15th annual Two x Two for AIDS and Art gala, which drew close to 500 of Dallas’ most notable sociables and was peppered with Hollywood celebrities. Acclaimed event-producer Todd Fiscus transformed the grounds into a one-of-a-kind, 7,000 square feet, 48 foot tall geodesic Freedome, the largest installation of it’s kind ever produced in the U.S.
The luxe black-tie crowd was treated to a lively and entertaining evening featuring a festive cocktail hour where guests bid on over-the-top silent auction items, followed by a dinner and live auction helmed by Chairman, Sotheby’s North and South America, Jamie Niven. The evening was capped with a performance by legendary, multi-Grammy® award-winning musician Gladys Knight, who brought down the dome with a soulfully inspiring performance.
The über-chic affair, chaired by Christen Wilson, capped off a week’s worth of festivities, including First Look, raised the substantial sum of $5,000,000 for amfAR which is dedicated to ending the global AIDS epidemic through innovative research and laying groundwork for major treatments and prevention of HIV and AIDS.
