Neck shots, foreshots and throw-ins are just some of the terms that makes the sport of polo so appealing and intriguing. Recently, at the Argyle Club, a fundraiser and dinner was held as a membership drive and to create awareness dinner to celebrate the San Antonio Polo Club’s new facility on Obst Rd in Bulverde. Successful in adding new members, from the ‘divot stompers’ to several new “patrons,” the evening’s goals were met.

Among the festivities was the group gathering at the Polo Museum and Hall of Fame, celebrating the significance of the organization’s history, dating back to 1920. Matches at the new club start this spring, and the club is currently giving lessons for both new and seasoned players, along with boarding and turn out facilities for the horses, along with rental horses available. It’s time to hit the field, raise the mallets and cheer on the next chukker.
