Mack, Jack and McConaughey Gala’s Star-Studded Two-Day Affair

THE SCENE:  Top destinations in Austin, including ACL Moody Theatre, Barton Creek Resort and Neiman Marcus, were the backdrop for the 2nd Annual Mack, Jack and McConaughey gala of events, headlined by Austin residents former UT coach Mack Brown, singer Jack Ingram and Oscar© winner Matthew McConaughey, It drew both Hollywood A-Listers and Austin’s most notable Sociables for two days of fun and entertainment the city will not soon forget.

The two day affair kicked off with an a star-studded gala at ACL, where the sold-out crowd was treated to performance by Jack Ingram and Sheryl Crow, and a spectacular live auction which raised over one million dollars. The busy second day commenced with Sally Brown, Amy Ingram and Camila McConaughey hosting a fashion show at Neiman Marcus that featured designers Badgley Mischka, while the gents, Mack, Jack and McConaughey hosted a celebrity golf tournament at Barton Creek Country Club. After a day of fun, guests then retreated back to ACL Moody Theatre for the Jack and Friends concert with Little Big Town, Buddy Miller, Liz Rose, Lori McKenna, Bobby Pinson and Lyle Lovett was the cherry on top to the days of giving and fun.

THE VIBE: The high-energy was felt for the entire two days of events across the city as guests dressed in a range of fun and festive spring fashions. Many wore colorful spring dresses and other forms of cocktail attire to the opening night gala, while the fashion show showcased everyone’s best dressy chic ensembles, while the Jack and Friends Concert had a more low key vibe of chic, hipster wear.

THE CAUSE: The rousing live and silent auctions included life-size sculptures, known as the Longhorn Stampede, to support the charities. This year’s event, chaired by Austin philanthropist Steve Hicks and hosted by the inimitable Mack and Sally Brown, Jack and Amy Ingram and Matthew and Camilla McConaughey raised over $____million dollars for various local and national charities whose primary goal it is to empower children.
