The merriment of the recent holiday season arrived when North Star Mall and The Shops at La Cantera were buzzing with activities, great retailer offering at every price point, family-friendly activities and holiday giveaways. The seventh annual Holiday Mingle & Jingle at The Shops at La Cantera celebration is always a favorite destination for the region’s luxury shoppers.
White gloves and pearls was the theme for this year’s timeless holiday event. Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, socializing and shopping, plus exclusive holiday offers ranging from special discounts and gift with purchase.
The event raised money for six local charities. “When Diana and her brother Louie Barrios were informed that Viola’s Huge Heart Foundation would again win the additional $1,000 for having the most guests in attendance, they were thrilled until they learned they had won by only one guest over Conrad Smiles,” said Michelle Robertson, senior marketing manager for North Star Mall and The Shops at La Cantera. She goes on to say, “Louie immediately purchased two tickets to put them in the lead. The evening culminated with the true spirit of the season and giving as Louie Barrios felt Viola’s Huge Heart move him to make Conrad Smile. Liz Tullis graciously accepted the $1,000 check to further research on anoxic brain injuries.”
Other benefitting charities included were the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Roy Maas Youth Alternatives, Thrive Well Cancer Foundation and WINGS.
