The McNay Art Museum in San Antonio is hosting its annual Print Fair March 4th-5th. The only event of its kind in the Southwest, the museum hosts more than a dozen dealers from around the U.S. that bring thousands of prints, drawings, watercolors, and photographs to show and sell over the course of the two-day fair. The fair is a great opportunity for novice and seasoned collectors alike to hone their connoisseurship skills, get to know and learn from respected and informed dealers, and perhaps go home with a newfound treasure.
To help budding aficionados start their own collections, Lyle Williams, McNay Curator of Prints & Drawings, will be available the whole weekend to advise visitors and answer any questions they may have about procurement. Collecting a real print is not only reserved for the seasoned art buyer. Dealers often allow collectors to pay for their print purchases over time, offering various financing options to help an aspiring buyer begin the investment in their own collection. More details about the event can be found below, and through The McNay.
