17th Annual Una Notte In Italia’s Flair

THE SCENE: The highly anticipated 17th annual “Una Notte in Italia” presented by Festari for Men was held recently at the Westin Galleria. The sold-out crowd of over 650 guests enjoyed all things Italian: including fine wine, food and fashions while they cheered on “localebrity” men who modeled on the runway to support this cause.

THE VIBE: This is event was festive, rowdy and sexy. The ladies cheered on the dashing men walked catwalk for charity. There were roses thrown, along with cheering for the models. After the show the crowd enjoyed a lively auction which including a seven day vacation in Italy, a trip to Napa Valley and a private “Texans” dinner to be held at Del Frisco’s Grille. After dinner, guests were then treated to a special “club” area complete with DJ, velvet couches and a private tequila bar. The room décor was created by A Memorable Event. As always, the fun continued into the late night while everyone toasted the success of the most ever funds raised for the gala.

THE CAUSE: The co-chairmen, Jennifer Brown and Christie Sullivan, along with honorary chairmen Debbie and Rudy Festari, were thrilled with the stellar line-up of dapper men who walked the catwalk, including businessmen, philanthropic types and professional athletes. Some of those were Houston Texans Chris Myers, Duane Brown, Garrett Graham and Andre Hal as well as Bo’s Place board members David Hartland and Charlie Neuhaus. Also modeling were Steve Mach, Brad Marks, Jim Furr, John Tinkle, Grayland Noah, Chris Kreig, Jeff Shell and Dr. Haresh Yalamanchili. while KPRC’s Dominique Sachse served as emcee. The 2014 event’s beneficiary was Bo’s Place, a nonprofit bereavement center that offers free grief support services to children, families and adults who have experienced the death of a loved one. The organization also provides an information and referral line, and training and workshops for those who assist people in grief.
