The Landa Gardens Conservancy hosted over 200 guests in San Antonio this fall, who gathered in the Landa Gardens on an elegant autumn evening. “Landa Nights: A Taste Under the Stars” was chaired by Landa Gardens Conservancy Board members Marcia and Steven Willson, with the support of generous sponsorships from presenting sponsor Valero and the John and Florence Newman Foundation. Guests mingled under the oaks amidst the late fall blooms of the garden, enjoying tasty eats from the city’s best gourmet food trucks, and dancing the night away to the tunes of the Stan Wayne Band. Proceeds from the event support the maintenance of the beautiful Landa Gardens, a favorite park on the grounds of Landa Library, nestled in historic Monte Vista.
Landa Gardens Conservancy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to
beautifying and maintaining the grounds at Landa Library, a branch of the San Antonio Public Library. The grounds include the Valero Pavilion and a
concrete sculpture designed and created by nationally renowned artist
Carlos Cortés. The Gardens include beautiful landscaping, walking paths,
benches, two popular and recently updated playgrounds, more than 7,000 new plants and a community garden. It is the hope of Landa Gardens Conservancy that the entire community uses and enjoys their groomed grounds. We love that is such a green cause in San Antonio.
