The scene of this years always-in-fashion and always-fabulous Women’s Symphony League of Austin’s Jewel Ball events, America The Beautiful, was a weekend of festivities that honor families for the continued and unwavering support of symphony orchestras throughout Texas. This was done with the debutante presentation of their children and grandchildren as members of the Royal Court, who reigned over the festivities, including the always glam annual ball. Chaired by Eledith Falk, this year’s trio of events featured a weekend full of fun, fashion and Texas tradition.
This year’s sold out luncheon before the ball commenced with scrumptious food and stunning fashion In The Rose Garden where the League honored 2012 First Ladies, recognizing the honorees’ years of dedication and volunteer service to the WSL. After the young ladies were presented in the fashion show, lucky attendees were treated to a glam and fun fashion show presented and Sue Webber of Webber Productions that exclusively featured elegant daytie and evening clothing and accessories from The Garden Room boutique, helmed by Patty Hoffpauir.
The weekend culminated with the 58th Annual Jewel Ball, A State Dinner. The patriotically themed evening featured a presentation of Austin’s Royal Court, Visiting Jewels and Austin Junior Royalty. After enjoying a delicious meal, guests mingled and jingled by enjoying a fun night of activities… those seeking to get their groove on enjoyed dancing to the tunes of Duck Soup, while others channeled their inner-James Bond and tried their luck at the casino tables. Those who were looking for something new for their luxe habitats bid on their favorite silent auctions, capping off a weekend of fun that will be talked about at family gatherings for years to come.
