THE SCENE: Recently Andrea and Dean McWilliams hosted a spring soirée at their Old Enfield estate honoring Ireland’s Patrick and Louise Guinness. The family dates back to 1400s and historian Patrick Guinness is the President of the Irish Georgian Society.

They were in the state to promote the newly established Irish Consulate, along with special guests Adrian Farrell, Irish Consul General to Texas; Michael Kerrigan, Director of the Irish Georgian Society for North America; and Rachel Gaffney Smith, the President of the Irish Georgian Society of Texas Chapter in Dallas. The Guinness’ visit was marked by the presentation of a special Texas proclamation to commemorate their stay.

THE VIBE: On an evening of perfect weather, prominent members of the business and social worlds were greeted by the Texas Cowboys service organization before gathering around the patio and pool of the McWilliams’ home. The home was festooned in shades of green, designed by the Mandarin Flower Company. Guests toasted the state’s new Irish friends’ renewed presence in Texas. After all, Texas is the largest exporter to the European Union and Ireland is in fact the fast growing economy in the Union.
