The Wedding Weekend of San Antonio Couple Hanna Sheesley and Robert Rochelle Had Tradition And Flair At JW Marriott Hill Country Resort

Hanna Sheesley and Robert Rochelle celebrated more than Independence Day this past 4th of July weekend. The happy couple took their vows toward wedded bliss at the JW Marriot Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio. The bride, Hanna, graduated from Sewanee, The University of the South and is a Landman at Lewis Energy Group. Hanna is the daughter of Martha and John McCormick Sheesley, Jr. of San Antonio. The groom, Robert, graduated from The University of Texas and is an Insurance Broker at Quirk & Company. Robert is the son of William and Regenia Rochelle and Brent and Laura Jones from Killeen, Texas. The couple’s grandparents in attendance were Hanna’s maternal grandmother Renee Tynan, and Robert’s maternal grandmother Betty Franzl.

On July 3rd the wedding party and guests started the celebratory weekend by spending the day at the Resort, either playing in a golf tournament or relaxing at the spa. On July 4th, the venue also served as the location for the rehearsal lunch, pre-wedding cocktail gathering, wedding ceremony and reception. Reverend Canon John Wharton Newton IV, a close friend of the bride and groom’s families, officiated the ceremony. Hanna wore a stunning white strapless chiffon princess gown, while her bridesmaids wore red sleeveless knee-length dresses. The groom, his groomsmen, and his ushers all wore seasonal seersucker suits with bowties that matched the bridesmaids’ dresses.

The décor of the wedding was more than noteworthy. Not only did Hanna choose to incorporate crepe myrtle trees to add an extra element of elegance to the ambiance of the wedding reception, but also she chose these trees to honor the tradition her parents started at their wedding reception 27 years ago at The Argyle in San Antonio. Wedding planner Katherine Lopez of Sweet August Events staged the special occasion with a team in assistance. David Sixt was the photographer, Danny Cuellar of Trinity Flowers designed the floral arrangements, Cakes by Cathy Young baked the desserts, and the RK Group provided the meals, the furniture, the table settings, and the décor to make this wedding weekend as festive as possible.

Hanna and Robert arranged for the bands Tiburon and Sauce to perform during their special weekend. Tiburon played for the rehearsal lunch, pre-wedding cocktail party, the wedding ceremony, and the procession that ushered the bride and groom into the reception. Once the wedding reception began, Sauce took over the entertainment, keeping guests on the dance floor until the wee hours of the morning. On Sunday following the ceremony and reception, a lunch and a pool party were hosted to wrap up the weekend celebration for the couple and their guests. With the myriad of talents of the event team, the wedding weekend for Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rochelle will be one that is long remembered.
