Helping Hand Home Debs Presented At Gala, Honored At Brunch

THE SCENE: The Helping Hand Society recently hosted its 74th annual Crystal Ball black tie debutante presentation gala at the Palmer Events Center. Thirty-six debutantes, their escorts and junior escorts were presented along with 115 Helping Hand Ninth Grade Girls and Boys and 40 First Grade Princesses. A capacity crowd of Society members, guests, participants, their families and friends, gala sponsors and HHH supporters enjoyed a Champagne and Mimosa Brunch with Catering by Rosemary, followed by the gala in the evening featuring cocktails and wine, a silent auction, the debutante presentation, dinner by Catering by Rosemary and dancing to Memphis Train.

THE CAUSE: The Crystal Ball is the largest fundraiser for Helping Hand Home for Children. This year’s gala, co-chaired by Catherine Parks and Brannon Smith, raised more than $1.1 million in support of Helping Hand Home’s mission to provide a nurturing and therapeutic home for severely abused and neglected children. Through its residential treatment center, onsite charter school and a growing foster and adoption program, Helping Hand Home combines loving care, professional treatment and innovative services that deliver real results. “Hope Happens Here” is not only Helping Hand Home’s motto, it is what the Home does each day to help the children it serves reclaim their childhood and be restored to healthy family settings.
