THE SCENE: The Memorial Hermann Foundation recently hosted its annual Circle of Life gala, at the Hilton Americas Hotel in downtown Houston. The record breaking sold-out event raised $3.3 million with more than 1,800 guests in attendance. Opulent floral basketball hoops, created by A Memorable Event, adorned the ballroom proving that this gala is one of the most entertaining and exciting events of the year.

THE VIBE: It was basketball hoop-la indeed as the Houston Rockets aligned again with Memorial Hermann. The Rockets’ dramatic entrance mesmerized the crowd as the players were each announced by team’s announcer, John Paul. Following a delicious dinner, the audience filled the dance floor and enjoyed music from Atlanta-based band Simply Irresistible, which included more than 40 performers.

THE CAUSE: The gala was chaired by Houston Rockets owner Leslie Alexander. The event honored Memorial Hermann board member, civic leader and philanthropist Steve Trauber and his wife Leticia for their dedication to Memorial Hermann’s mission. Proceeds from the gala benefit Memorial Hermann’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine programs.
