Girls Inc. of San Antonio hosted their eighth annual Strong, Smart and Bold Luncheon at the San Antonio Country Club this fall. With the combined efforts of event co-chairs Melissa Zuniga and Catherine Bishop, president Rhonda Williamson, and board chair Emilie Petty, the event was a soaring success. This year’s luncheon was presented by The Woods Foundation, Tina and Joe Haynes, Jefferson Bank, Julian Gold and Sanger & Altgelt.
The event honored Heather Haynes Kraft, who was the Founding Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Girls Inc. of San Antonio and served on the Board of Directors until she was made a Girls Inc. Guardian in 2008. The luncheon featured a Fall 2012 Fashion Show by Julian Gold that spotlighted several young beneficiaries of the Girls Inc. program. The mission of Girls Inc. is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. By inspiring and education San Antonio girls, Girls Inc. plans to increase their self-esteem, empower them to avoid risky behavior and find success and fulfillment in life. We also believe in that, so kudos to them for making a difference in the community.
