THE SCENE: On a recent warm evening the San Antonio Gardenia and Musical Club hosted its annual coronation dinner dance honoring the 2015 Queen, Ireland Shea Hart Buckley, a young lady whose family history and personal love of fine arts brings together two of the club’s very special ideals. The coronation was the high point of an entire season of celebration, as the club had previously celebrated in style with a spring luncheon featuring a fabulous fashion show presented by Julian Gold.

THE VIBE: The ambience at the Gardenia Musical Club’s Coronation Dinner Dance was as regal as one would expect. With the twelve lovely young ladies of her court standing supportively behind her, Buckley stunned each of the 200 guests in attendance as she took the stage. Representing her family’s long tradition of involvement in the Gardenia and Musical Club, this year’s monarch reigned majestically over a celebration fit for a queen.

THE CAUSE: The event’s luncheon co-chairs were DeeAnn Simpson and Carolina Canales and the president of the Gardenia Club is Veronica Boldt. The primary mission of the San Antonio Gardenia and Musical Club is to further interest in the fine arts, presenting scholarships to fine art students and to promote genuine friendship among members.
