Fall is buzzing with an air of excitement for many reasons: the elections, cooler temperatures, and of course… the latest in Fall fashion. It’s that time of year to bring out the boots, scarves, and corduroys. For Texans, the initial autumn temperature drop is a beautiful thing and the shopping gods bring us one more thing here: Fashion’s Night Out; our mini taste of New York’s Fall Fashion Week.

The Society Diaries partnered with Neiman Marcus of Austin and San Antonio for the second annual collaborative FNO festivities. This was another special celebration, as it marked celebrating the second year of the magazine. With well over 2,000 guests in attendance, both Austin and San Antonio boasted evenings that were nothing short of elegant and fabulous.

Neiman Marcus of Austin featured a Fall Fashion Presentation, tunes by DJ Manny, a photo fashion booth that gifted guests with their own souvenir fashion flipbooks, hair chalking, sweet bites from Coolhaus and Paige’s Bakehouse, and of course, many specialty cocktails for the shopping and sipping guests who love to see and be scene.

Neiman Marcus of San Antonio featured a Fall Fashion Presentation as well, with tunes by world-touring DJ Protégé. Bites and beverages were provided by the best of San Antonio: with tastings from 20Nine Restaurant & Wine Bar, Bohanan’s Prime Steaks and Seafood, Kate’s Frosting, Mariposa, Ocho at Hotel Havana, Sur La Table, Sustenio, and Texas de Brazil. Guests also enjoyed “Fashiontini’s”, the signature cocktail of the evening, courtesy of Cinco Vodka. The event also offered the favored Belgian brew, Stella Artois.

With a Braid Bar, a Chanel Lip Bar, Dior’s “fall-face” makeup station, Eilan Hotel Spa foot massages, and Balenciaga perfume stops, guests meandered their way through the fashion frenzy and up the escalators to the runway, and the InCircle/Society Diaries Magazine Lounge decorated by Luxe Event Decor & Design and Richard Gallaway. The lounge was exclusive and chic, with a great view of the Fall Fashion Presentation.

Fashion’s Night Out was a great success that guests are still talking about and we look forward to next year’s soirée, too, that is already in the works.
