It’s almost here. The 9th Annual Austin Fashion Week, the brainchild of Matt Swinney, will feature a fresh lineup of events including Moda X Mexico, a black-tie affair, spotlighting prominent Mexican jewelry and apparel designers.
A portion of Runways & Gallery “Style Setter” and Brunch tickets will be donated to local organizations: Ballet Austin, Center for Child Protection, Darrell K. Royal Research Fund for Alzheimer’s Disease, The Kindness Campaign, and YMBL Austin Sunshine Camps in honor of five chic individuals who have been contributing to the Austin community through their personal style and philanthropy.
This year’s celebrated Style Setters are: A.J. Bingham, Ana Ruelas, Andra Liemandt, Ava Late, and Cassie LaMere.
The Runways & Gallery shine a light on independent designers sending capsule and full collections down the catwalk with models sporting makeup from Koh Gen Do Cosmetics. Plus, you can meet your favorite Project Runway stars…including fan favorite Kelly Dempsey who will show in Austin for the very first time this year.
This week-long adventure of soirées ranges from glam Runway shows at the JW Marriott to the 2ND Street District to Domain Northside…all chock full of fashion-forward parties, glamorous trunk shows, and, of course cocktails. Want to know where your clothes are made? Or meet and buy a unique piece from a designer directly? You can do that and so much more during this largest fashion event in Texas.
