THE SCENE: An adoring crowd of 600 women recently gathered for lunch at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Houston for the 35th Annual Best Dressed Luncheon. The 2017 Houston Chronicle Best Dressed honorees were Jana Arnoldy, Carrie Brandsberg-Dahl, Carolyn Dorros, Mary D’Andrea, Gina Gaston Elie, Lisa Holthouse, Carol Linn, Clerenda McGrady, Sneha Merchant and Jessica Rossman. The women were recognized for their philanthropic endeavors as well as their chic sense of style.
THE VIBE: The 35th Annual Houston Chronicle Best Dressed Luncheon and Neiman Marcus fashion presentation was one of Houston’s highest profile and most popular fashion shows that not only celebrated the 2017 Best Dressed Women of Houston, but also raised funds for the March of Dimes. This year’s featured designer was Brunello Cucinelli with the show introduced by Neiman Marcus Fashion Director Ken Downing.
THE CAUSE: Helmed by co-chairs Kristy Bradshaw and Isabel Davis, the event raised over half a million dollars for the March of Dimes mission to prevent birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Funds raised by the luncheon support lifesaving research and community programs in Houston that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. Next year’s Best Dressed Luncheon chairs Laura Davenport and Sippi Khurana were also announced at the luncheon.
