Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumni Association Hosts Annual Fundraiser

THE SCENE: The Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumni Association of San Antonio hosted their annual Tablescapes Luncheon this winter at the San Antonio Country Club. KKG San Antonio Alumni Association President Elizabeth Boddy organized the event with co-chairs Sarah Hodge andBonnie Muecke.

THE VIBE: With 42 tables ornately tables, decorated by local businesses and designers, the ballroom and first floor were transformed into a wonderland of décor in a room of beautifully dressed guests. The event speaker was Cornelia Guest, an iconic New York-based designer, socialite, author, entertainer and philanthropist. Her first book, Simple Pleasures, includes original recipes, décor, party tips, and photos from throughout her life. She founded Cornelia Guest Events and Cornelia Guest Cookies catering to high-end charity and entertainment events with healthy vegan dishes.

THE CAUSE: Proceeds from the 2014 Tablescapes event benefits Morgan’s Wonderland, Monarch Academy at Morgan’s Wonderland, and The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation. The mission of Morgan’s Wonderland is to provide a safe, clean and beautiful environment that is free of economic barriers that individuals, regardless of age, special need or disability, can enjoy. Proceeds will also help the Monarch Academy at Morgan’s Wonderland to provide students with special needs a unique learning environment to reach their maximum potential.
