Culinary Institute LeNotre’s Sweet Gala

THE SCENE: Over 200 guests arrived in black tie and jewels at River Oaks Country Club for a sophisticated evening of live music, Can-Can entertainment, and divine French cuisine and pastries.

THE VIBE: The delicious event’s star of the evening was the spectacular array of desserts including chocolates, macarons, tarts, pastries, and magnificent centerpieces prepared by students of The Culinary Institute LeNotre. The live auction included private helicopter tours and dinners at Le Mistral and Kris Bistro featuring luxury silver pieces by Christofle.

THE CAUSE: The Champagne & Chocolat Gala raised $185,000 for deserving culinary arts students through the Gaston LeNotre Scholarship Fund. Welcoming guests were honorary chairs Rolanette and Berdon Lawrence, chairs Bill King and Neda Ladjevardian, co-chairs Diane and Jim D’Agostino, and Marie LeNotre, president of the endowment fund. Paula Sutton received the 2015 Gaston LeNotre Scholarship Ambassador Award for her exemplary community leadership and outstanding contributions to the scholarship fund. The Gaston LeNotre Scholarships support high quality education in the culinary arts and assist deserving students in achieving a rewarding career in the culinary field within the United States and abroad.
