THE SCENE: Peach and gold accented balloons, smiles, and most importantly, cupcakes are just a few of the things that set the stage for The DoSeum’s Big Two Do gala to celebrate its second birthday. Guests were greeted by the lively music performed by the Mariachi Los Conquistadores at the entrance, as well as various fashion sketches on display.
Guests were encouraged to make their own memories in the photo booth provided by Benton Photography where they can create their own flipbook. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were out for guests to enjoy while mingling. There were also several bars provided by Dulce Vida Tequila, Shiner Beer, Silver Eagle Distributors and the Ronald Herrmann family.
THE VIBE: Exquisite favors were displayed across the tables from Saks Fifth Avenue, surrounding the centerpiece of monochromatic pink roses. There was a welcome by the event chairs, Carla and John Brozovich and Emilie and Chris Petty. They then presented The DoSeum’s Fiesta Medal that select guests received. The presentation was followed by a delightful dinner prepared by Rosemary’s Catering. Premier table sponsors were able to enjoy some bubbly provided by Champagne Collet. 5150 Productions kept the party going by DJ’ing the after party as guests danced the night away and enjoyed sweet treats by Bird Bakery, Cupcake Couture, Cheesy Jane’s Kahlua Milkshakes and tater tots, Bakery Lorraine’s Pastel Meringues, Crunch bars and ice cream cones.
THE CAUSE: The San Antonio’s Children’s DoSeum serves as an interactive learning laboratory for all young children from birth to age 10, allowing them to become creative problem solvers through hands-on activities. Nearly 60% of the new exhibits focus on concepts in science, technology, engineering, math, literacy and the creative arts that embrace both the young and the young at heart.
