It was an affair to remember at the recent nuptials of Courtney West Cavender and Tobin Wells Smith. Beneath her cathedral-length veil, the bride stunned guests as she started down the aisle at Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church in a gown adorned with crystals and pearls by Monique Lhuillier.
The heartfelt ceremony celebrated love and commitment among the couple’s closest friends and family. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Harold Cavender of San Antonio and the groom is the son of The Honorable and Mrs. Lamar Seeligson Smith and the late Mrs. Jane Shoults Smith.
With a shared love for art, the San Antonio Museum of Art became the canvas for a masterpiece reception. Executed perfectly by wedding planner Lynn Huntress, the dinner was served on the museum’s west lawn, catered by Don Strange and dinner music provided by the Jaun Cabrera Quartet. Danny Cuellar of Trinity Flowers & Events created the exquisite floral arrangements and the tiered wedding cake was by Cakes by Cathy Young. Before the festivities, the wedding party’s hair and makeup were styled by Lisa Weller and Twirl Salon, San Antonio.
As Austin band Hot Wax later picked up the tempo on the dance floor, the couple and their guests danced the night away. It was an evening filled with laughter and love in this celebration of Courtney and Tobin’s beautiful union and future life together.
