Anne Hudson’s On-Air Glam

Around here we love her, like you do, as the sparkling morning radio personality on KVET-FM . . . and we tune in weekly for her hipster lifestyle segment on YNN, Your News Now network. Here we get up close and personal with this style gal’s favorite things to inspire us all.

My personal style signifier is:
Casual Chic. I like causal clothes with a fancy twist
(i.e. heels, bag, jewelry) for everyday wear

The thing I am eyeing next is:
Coral everything 1

The best souvenir I have brought
home would be:
Austin’s own Blue Avocado reusable totes. I love them obsessively 2

The site that inspires me is:
Town Lake… show ideas pour out of me when I’m on a jog

The last meal that truly impressed me was:
When my husband cooked a super fancy steak, shrimp, potato, salad dinner last night

The people I rely on for grooming
and style are:
Brandi Cowley at Propaganda does my hair, Forbidden Make-up does my spray tan and Ana Bazan is an amazing make-up artist with whom I recently worked. I also always love a good blow out from Blo Dry Bar

A recent find is:
My Nixon rose gold watch 3

An object I would never part with is:
My iPhone

The last music I downloaded is:
Willie Nelson. It was his birthday, so I celebrated it with a download 4

If I had to limit my shopping to one neighborhood in one city it would be:
Would you believe I’m not a big shopper? It’s true, yet I am such an on-line shopping junkie

An artist whose work I would collect is:
Austin-based Kathy Womack because I love her work 5

The last item I added to my wardrobe is:
An amazing bright pink and orange dress from Y & I on South Congress because I love that store 6

The best gift I have given recently is:
A vintage cake plate 7
The best gift I have received is:
When my little boys recently picked flowers for me. I could cry thinking about how sweet they are

My favorite room is:
With a bathtub

My favorite street in the world is:
Bourbon Street. My husband proposed to me there with a ring box full of his family’s diamonds so we could design our own ring. 8

On my tombstone it will say…
“I Died, Darn It”
