Ferrari of San Antonio – Ferrari Club of America
It is no secret that the 5,500 members of the world’s largest Ferrari club, the Ferrari Club of America, enjoys exciting track events, an internationally-recognized Concours d’Elegance, and a wide variety of year-round social activities. With 16 active regions and 34 chapters throughout the U.S. and Canada, it maintains a full calendar of events for Ferrari enthusiasts. In fact, its annual meeting, with hundreds of Ferraris, hundreds of people, a swap meet, concours, rally, track event and banquets, draws participants and cars from around the world.
This fall the Ferrari Club of America’s Alamo South Texas chapter participated in a charitable event held at Aldino at the Vineyard in San Antonio. The event was organized by John Frakes and proceeds were donated to San Antonio Metropolitan Ministries Educational Endowment Fund-Helping Hands. The Ferrari Club of America memberships are available to anyone with a passion for the Ferraris. More recently, the Alamo South Texas chapter and Hill Country chapter joined together at Dick’s Classic Garage in San Marcos for the first annual FCA regional gathering. This new event will grow into a charitable benefit for children with cancer and their families and envisions raising funds as well as giving a ride in a Ferrari to the children. “If we can put a smile on their faces and give them a day filled with fun, take them on a journey away from troubles, then we have put these beautiful cars to good use,” says Marc C. Miller, Ferrari Club of America’s Alamo South Texas Chapter President.
